CAPE CORAL, Fla. -

One Cape Coral mother believes people should rely on Ring doorbell after it caught teenagers entering her home.

On September 4, the woman came home to find her front door unlocked, and her house ransacked.

She looked at her Ring doorbell and discovered that two teenage boys had entered her house.

The woman recognized the teens because they were friends with her son.

Investigators with the Cape Coral Police Department later identified the two teens as Zachary Wiles-Krater and Austin King.

The two teenagers are accused of going into the woman's bedroom and stealing a diamond necklace, as well as her iPhone.

The two boys also caused $100 worth of damage to her house.

After reviewing the Ring doorbell security camera, police were able to identify the two teens.

Investigators with the Cape Coral Police Department said Ring doorbell is a reliable tool.

"Any type of video surveillance is a great tool. The Ring doorbell is fantastic due to the fact it's streaming and saved to the web," Public Affairs Officer and Master Sergeant Allan Kolak said.

Both boys face charges of burglary and damaged property.
