CAPE CORAL, Fla. -

Two teenagers were caught hanging out in a stolen car after neighbors called police regarding suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

Cape Coral Police were sent to investigate Thursday morning on Southeast 19th Lane near Del Prado Boulevard, where one neighbor said he had seen three teenage boys going into cars.

People said their car doors were left open and someone had gone through the glove boxes.

Officers on the scene found two teens inside a stolen car.

Danajae Barton, 16, and Eric Wright, 14, bolted out of the car and ran into a neighbor's backyard to hide.

A helicopter and police dogs helped officers track down the teens.

One of the dogs sniffed out Barton and Wright in a neighbor's backyard.

The two were arrested and are facing grand theft charges.
