CAPE CORAL, Fla. -

Police arrested a 21-year-old mother in Cape Coral for driving drunk with her 3-month-old baby in the car and getting into a crash.

"Don't put your lives in danger. If you want to go out and have fun, at least get your child a babysitter," said Cape Coral resident Austin Stephens.

Stephens said he saw crews cleaning up the wreckage.

The crash happened near Del Prado Boulevard south of Veterans Parkway. Her boyfriend was also in the car.

According to the police report, she hit the car in front of her causing it to spin out. Debris from that crash then hit a third car.

The first car hit was totaled.

"That's a recipe for disaster when you drink and drive," said Stephens.

According to the report, when officers tried to put Beal in the patrol car she started acting erratically and said, "I don't know how you sleep at night. I'll legally find someone to ******* kill you, I swear to god, I'll find someone. I'll find someone, I swear to god I will."

Beal is being charged with DUI over .15 with people under the age of 18, DUI with property damage, and threatening a police officer.

"That's pretty bad. I hope she gets counseling or gets the help she needs to get back on the right track," said Cape Coral resident Rick Schwalbe.

This arrest was the second time Beal had been booked into Lee County Jail. She has since bonded out.
