SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -

The killer in a deadly shooting at the Bell Tower Shops that took two lives and wounded two other people is still on the loose more than 24 hours later.

Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff's Office continued their investigation Wednesday releasing more details.

According to LCSO, the victims have been identified as 56-year-old Kevin Robinson and 22-year-old Javarcia Riggins.

Authorities removed crime scene tape Wednesday, and the shops at Bell Tower reopened for business.

Despite all of this, many shoppers expressed their heartbreak and paranoia, especially since police have not made any arrests.

“No one would ever think that a shopping center like that would’ve, you know, gotten shot up," Landina Jean-Mari said.

Jean-Mari, like many others, said safety is now a looming concern.

“We have to live in fear every single day. The fact that they’re still on the loose, it’s just devastating," she said.

Hailee Vieira said learning about the shooting was surprising considering noticeable security at Bell Tower Shops.

"They have been doing a lot of police security over there. There would be like one or two squad cars over there that’d be watching it now on Fridays and Saturdays," Hailee Vieira said.

Others said that although the shooting was tragic, they won't let it interrupt their routine.

“You can’t guide your life. You can’t let that make you stop living or stop going out or stop going to the Bell Tower," Wesley Boozer said.

The Bell Tower Shops released a statement that said in part:

"Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with all who have been affected by this tragedy. Bell Tower Shops is cooperating fully with Lee County Sheriff’s Office as this is an ongoing investigation."

Bell Towers Shops were asked how they planned to address security concerns moving forward, but the shopping plaza's spokesperson declined to disclose any details.
