16-year-old arrested for shooting at Lehigh Acres dollar store

Deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy Thursday after he reportedly began shooting at a Family Dollar store in Lehigh Acres.

Michael Scurry lives across the street from the store located at 630 Bell Blvd. and was angry because the store clerk wouldn't sell him tobacco.

Deputies arrested Scurry and obtained a search warrant for his home.

 

They found two rifles and a handgun hidden in the attic.

The guns were identified as stolen from an unrelated burglary.

Scurry is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, four firearm offenses, and vehicle burglary.

He had previously been arrested for several felony offenses.
